Every term, CEI hosts an eight week short course in central London on a variety of topics and themes.

TERM 1

METAPHORIA
An exciting seven week short course exploring selected Metaphors in the Qur’an
Metaphors are used to enhance the effect of what is being said by making it beautiful, impressive, aesthetically striking, and semantically powerful. During this course, we explored the themes and styles in the following verses all containing the word ‘mathal’.
The sessions highlighted how the images are used to present contrasting concepts, describe human traits, highlight the power of God, clarify the nature of the world or simply introduce inspiring narratives

ROAD TO RAMADAN
ROAD TO RAMADAN
“O Allah, make the months of Rajab and Sha’ban blessed for us, and let us reach the month of Ramadan”
In these Eight sessions we discussed some of the spiritual and physical benefits of fasting during Ramadan

COUNSEL
An exciting six week short course exploring the counsel of Luqman to his son in Sura Luqman (Q.31) and Imam Ghazali’s personal advice to his senior student in his book ‘Dear Beloved Son’.
